A userid identifies you when you login to the Instructional Support Information System (ISIS), and is also part of your network and Internet address. It contains eight characters or less, usually the first letter of your first name and the first six letters of your last name. Example: The userid for John Smythe would be [jsmythe]. If two people are named John Smythe a numeral is added, e.g., jsmythe2. Your complete address contains your userid and the address for Cal State L.A., e.g., firstname.lastname@example.org. Your complete address is also your Internet address.
