General M.A. Option in the Department of Psychology
The Psychology Department offers a general Master of Arts degree, consisting of 45 quarter units. This degree program is designed for pre-doctoral students or for students wishing to pursue graduate work in psychology without a specific career applications in mind.Students electing to pursue this option must complete the courses in research methodology and introduction to graduate study and choose either comprehensive exams or thesis as a culminating experience. The remainder of the program should be worked out in consultation with a faculty advisor and tailored to the student's educational objectives.
